Yo, what’s shaking? I’m Samara, allegedly an adult but in firm denial of the fact. Half way through a bachelor of media in communications and journalism with a minor in questioning what direction I’m going in with my life. Involved in way too many fandoms: Doctor Who, Supernatural, The Avengers, Sherlock Holmes, Firefly, Lost, Harry Potter and most things Marvel (we do not speak of the Incredible Hulk). Slash goggles are affixed too tightly. Sometimes a writer, sometimes a photoshop abuser, fulltime crazy cat lady. I’m in a perpetual need of a haircut.

[AGGRESSIVELY DOESN’T WANT TO KNOW THE DOCTOR’S NAME]

It’s not even that I don’t want to know it

It’s that I don’t think Steven Moffat has the right to name him

oh my god yes

that’s it

that statement is why I’m so angry

Why can’t he just be named The Doctor? That’s as much a name as anything else.

(also I like to think his name is Rumpelstiltskin.)

^ THIS

First of all, “the Doctor” is what he wants to be called, ergo it is his name

Second of all, out of every writer who has ever worked on the show, why should Moffat be the one who gets to make this decision (on the other hand, Moffat has made every effort possible to prove that the show is His Now, so I really wouldn’t put it past him)

Third of all, what does that say if Moffat decides that a “legal” “birth” name which is recorded only in the archives of a planet that no longer exists, a “name” which hasn’t been used in centuries, is more “real” than the name an individual actually is and wants to be called by

what does that say to trans* folks

what does that say to people who’ve changes their names for other reasons

what does that say to anyone who, for whatever reason, has changed their name, or prefers to go by a name other than what is on their government papers, or uses different names in different contexts

I just… wow Moffat you’re a terrible person

"Aziraphale collected books. If he were totally honest with himself he would have to have admitted that his bookshop was simply somewhere to store them. He was not unusual in this. In order to maintain his cover as a typical second-hand book seller, he used every means short of actual physical violence to prevent customers from making a purchase. Unpleasant damp smells, glowering looks, erratic opening hours - he was incredibly good at it."

From now on when people ask me to explain why I love Misha Collins so much I’m going to say:

i-wuv-virgins:

“Because he tweeted a photo of himself wearing a traffic-cone-orange blouse, as well as the most hideous patterned skirt I have ever seen in my life, standing in what appears to be the middle of a desert and I was not the least bit surprised.”

It’s just typical Misha being Misha and that makes him a pretty special guy.
