Hey what up ya'll? I’m Samara, allegedly an adult but in firm denial of the fact. Apparently a qualified journalist but I'll believe it when I see it. Currently seeking higher education because YOLO, right? I'm invested in way too many fandoms: Doctor Who, Supernatural, Rooster Teeth, The Avengers, Sherlock Holmes, Firefly, Lost, Harry Potter and most things Marvel. I'm deeply in love with my girlfriend and am a full time crazy cat lady (these two are not interrelated). I’m in a perpetual need of a haircut.

what sucks is i don’t even hate clara. she is so boring that i don’t feel anything for her. i would be okay with hating her because it would mean i feel something but she could die in the first episode of series 8 and i wouldn’t feel a thing.

Remember when the Doctor had to live with his choices instead of resetting the universe and his problems.

In The Beast Below, Amy lies to the Doctor and with-holds important information from him. For this,  she is punished by the Doctor and the narrative.
Throughout series 6, the Doctor lies to Amy about her pregnancy and about saving her daughter. This is never called out by anybody.
Moral of the story: It’s never okay for women to lie to men. But if you’re a man, fib all you want!

Moffat’s Female Characters Top Trumps

I would like to make it clear that I adore these characters in other aspects. I am not attacking the characters themselves, only the problematic and shitty ways in which they were written.

claudiaboleyn:

So you had a completely beloved, completely up for it, and completely immortal judging by the whole not-ageing-a-single-day thing, Classic Doctor at your disposal, and you decided to pluck one out of your arse for the 50th instead?

Really, Moffat?

Look at this man! God is clearly keeping him frozen so he can reclaim his rightful role or at least get a spin-off series.

It just baffles me why we had a brand new Doctor. A Doctor we will never see again. A Doctor that was not necessary. A Doctor that mucked up the numbering system. A Doctor that wasn’t even The Doctor in anything but name, and then got forgotten about.

What was the point of that? Was there a point to it?

We had Eight, who should have been ‘The War Doctor’, absolutely desperate to get back into the role again, but for some unknown reason Moffat decided John Hurt (great actor, props to John) would be better.

Why?

Why?

Why?

THE 50TH SHOULD HAVE BEEN ABOUT CELEBRATING THE PAST. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ABOUT THE LEGACY OF DOCTOR WHO. IT SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN AN OOC FANFIC WITH A BIG NAME THROWN IN FOR VIEWING FIGURES.

Paul McGann, the glorious, talented, perfect Paul McGann was willing to get involved and instead all you gave him was a regeneration that lasted a few minutes.

I will be angry about this forever. End rant.

Sometimes I think Moffat just just didn’t finish watching The Waters of Mars and walked away thinking “Oh, so the Doctor can do whatever he wants and never have to face the consequences. Cool.”
